"We crochet blankets for stillborn babies, for parents and grandparents who hold their little angels for the first and last time. This group was started due to me losing a granddaughter in 02/13/12.

Right now we are able to take care of one of our community hospitals. But would very much like to take care of a rather large hospital in Winston, Salem.

If you would like to help us, please contact:

Vicki Tolbert

Reidsville, NC 27320

Thank you in advance for your help."

Wonderland Hair Band

The second part of this note is for Elena who had a question about my hair band in the Crochet! Magazine Easy No-Sew Crochet issue of this Spring 2012.

BUT - just so you know - I have 4 designs in this magazine, including the pale green vest on the cover! Check it out - there are over 60 patterns inside! It's a steal!

Elena,

Your email address must have been entered incorrectly, so here is my reply to your query...

Rows 3 & 4 form the repeat, though row 4 should read "Ch 3, 5 dc in next ch
1-sp" (as this space is formed by the ch 1, dc in the previous row).

So - rep rows 3-4 alternately until work measures 18" from beg ending with
row 4.

There is no need to fasten off in the middle of the last row, as long as you
are careful with the working loop that you're pulling through the other end
of the hairband.

Hope this is the info you needed!

Check it out yourself - looks like a great tutorial (it has pictures of various stages) and it should work up fairly quickly.

You don't need to have white yarn either - sheep are also black, gray and brown (I guess you don't have to be true to nature either - you could have pretty colored ones)!

She's lost her job and her Mom, among having other problems along the way.

If you feel for her you can read her whole story at the link below and I know she'd appreciate it so much if you'd click to "like" her story. That would help her gain the votes she'd need for something good to happen to her for a change.

We'd both really appreciate it if you could find the time to vote "like" for Barbara and give her something to look forward to instead of her dwelling on her recent past.

My greatest thanks to all who vote...

Newsflash...and change in the way I deal with questions...

Yes - he was born in October and so right now I'm not getting the best nights sleep in the world.

Hence the delay in replying to several queries.

In future I will be changing the way that I deal with questions, as it would be sensible for many to be able to see the answers not just the asker.

As such, there will be a page for questions about crochet and a page for felting questions on which you will be able to ask or answer questions or simply comment on the topic.

I'm not sure when I'll get to do this, but it is in the works. So...get thinking of some questions about crochet or felting that you might need answered.

Again - apologies to those of you who have asked me questions and not had timely replies...now you know why...the wee one demands most of my attention these days, as he is right now.

So - watch this space for more info.
