Contest Favorites Mile-a-Minute Afghans

by Tony

This little book produced by Leisure Arts (http://leisurearts.com) is a great book for people with little to no patience who want to make beautifully complex looking afghans.

There are 30 short projects with easy to follow instructions that will have even the most novice crocheter expanding their repertoire, and their linen closet!

I love the fact that these projects work up quickly, since I'm not that fast at crocheting. The afghans are worked in strips, and then the strips are either whip-stitched together (sewn) or joined with sc or slip stitches.

I also love the fact that these patterns are easily customized to your tastes with different colours, and even different stitches, if you like.

The best part of this book is choosing a pattern, it's like window shopping!

Great to hear your enthusiasm for this afghan crochet book. Sounds like one I need to search for myself.
